Allentown mayoral candidates to debate tonight
Debates for three other offices also scheduled in forums sponsored by LehighValleyNews

Democratic candidates for Allentown mayor will debate tonight in the first of four debates sponsored by LehighValleyNews with candidates for key local offices on the May 20 primary ballot.
Allentown Mayor Matt Tuerk and city Councilman Ed Zucal will debate at 6 p.m. Thursday at Miller Symphony Hall in the city. No Republicans are running in the primary.
The other debates are:
Bethlehem Democratic mayoral candidates J. William Reynolds, who is seeking a second term as mayor, and city Councilwoman Grace Crampsie Smith, 6 p.m. April 28 at the Univest Public Media Center, Bethlehem. No candidates are running in the GOP primary.
Democratic Northampton County executive candidates Tara Zrinski, the county’s elected controller, and Amy Cozze, a former county elections director and former aide to Sen. Bob Casey, 7 p.m. April 30 at the Univest Public Media Center. Tom Giovanni, a county councilman, is unopposed in the Republican primary.
Republican Lehigh County executive candidates Mike Welsh, an insurance broker and former Allentown School Board member, and Roger MacLean, former Allentown police chief and city councilman, 7 p.m. May 7 at the Univest Public Media Center. State Rep. Joshua Siegel is unopposed in the Democratic primary.
The hour-long debates will be streamed live on LehighValleyNews.com, LehighValleyNews.com’s Facebook page, and PBS39’s YouTube channel.
The debates with candidates for Bethlehem mayor and the two county executive positions will also be broadcast live on 91.3 WLVR.
