Traffic delays, road closures expected from Trump’s Lehigh Valley visit on Saturday
Drivers in the Lehigh Valley can expect traffic delays and intermittent road closures on Saturday afternoon and evening due to former President Donald Trump’s Lehigh Valley campaign stop.
Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential candidate, will hold a rally at 7 p.m. at the Schnecksville Fire Hall, 4550 Old Packhouse Road in North Whitehall Township, according to his campaign event website. Doors will open at 3 p.m.
The Schnecksville Fire Hall is located off Route 309. Route 22 is located to the south of the fire hall while Route 873 is located to its north.
According to Bethlehem State Police, the delays and periodic closures will take place between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. in the following areas:
Route 22 – eastbound and westbound
Route 309 – northbound and southbound
Old Packhouse Road in Schnecksville
Secondary roads throughout the region are also expected to be impacted. Message signs will be located throughout the area with instructions to motorists on traffic conditions, state police said.
