Voters can apply for mail-in ballots for Nov. 5 election
Registered voters who want to vote by mail on Nov. 5 can apply now to receive mail-in ballots.
Voters can sign up for mail-in ballots or absentee ballots now through 5 p.m. on Oct. 29, the last day to do so under the law.
The Department of State said it has streamlined the process to make it easier for voters to apply.
The redesign also improves the process for military and overseas civilian voters by directing them to the federal form required to request their ballot, according to a June 11 announcement.
The mail-in and absentee ballot requests can be completed online. Or they can be downloaded, filled in by hand then mailed to the voter’s county registration office.
Voters can also go to their county voter registration office to apply in person. Click here for a list of county voter registration offices, addresses and phone numbers.
Applications are available in English, Spanish and traditional Chinese.

Only registered voters can apply. To find out if you are registered, click here.
Mail-in or absentee ballot applicants must have a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license or PennDOT identification number.
If you do not have one of these, you will need to provide the last four digits of your Social Security number.
If you are applying online, you will need to upload your signature.
Voters who signed up earlier this year to be on the annual mail-in ballot list do not have to request a ballot for Nov. 5.
To find if you are already on the list to receive a ballot, check your voter registration status here or contact your county board of elections.
