Voters warned of text message 'scam'
Voters in Pennsylvania are being warned about reports of what is being called a text message ‘scam.’
The Northampton County Elections Office has received several reports of county voters receiving text messages from all-vote.com stating they are not listed as being registered to vote and can do so by clicking on the link.
“The Pennsylvania Department of State reports that this is a scam, and voters should be more cautious as we get closer to the November 5th Election, as other bad actors may attempt to send similar phishing emails/texts,” a county warning said.
Other counties are posting warnings as well, including Montgomery and Pike.
Voters are being advised to rely solely on their county election offices and the Pennsylvania Department of State as primary sources on their voter registration status.
